Hand-Building Techniques

In the Hand-Building Techniques course you'll be guided through various manual clay shaping methods.
Over the 3 lessons, we will cover:

• Lesson 1: Forming techniques like pinching, slab building, and coiling, along with leather-hard deformation.
• Lesson 2: Decoration techniques on raw pieces, including sgraffito and the use of slips.
• Lesson 3: Glazing, using either lab-produced glazes or clear glazes, followed by high-temperature firing.

By the end of the course, you'll have created a fully personalized object from start to finish.
You can pick up your finished piece after a week or arrange for shipping (additional shipping costs apply).

This course is perfect for beginners and intermediates who want to delve into each step of ceramic creation using only hand-building techniques.
It’s ideal for those who aren’t quite ready to work on the wheel but still want to create their own ceramic pieces.

Note: The fee includes high-temperature stoneware clay, all hand-building tools, glazes, and firings.
