It starts with proportion.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn this intermediate\/advanced course, structured over 3 three-hour sessions, we will explore the making of \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003ebottles, tall vessels and narrow-necked forms\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, approaching them not simply as technical exercises on the wheel, but as small design projects.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe will work on closing a form and shaping a controlled neck, but above all we will learn to understand \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003ehow belly, shoulder, neck and opening relate to one another\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, and how even a small change in proportion can completely transform the character of a piece.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe will look at silhouette, balance and the rhythm of a form.
